The White House confirmed Thursday that President Obama’s vacation on Martha’s Vineyard, Mass., will include a campaign fundraiser and a brief return to Washington, D.C., for business meetings.
Obama, who flies up to the Vineyard with wife Michelle on Saturday, headlines a fundraiser Monday for the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee.
On Sunday, Aug. 17, Obama will return to the White House for an unspecified string of meetings, said a scheduling update. The president is set to return to Martha’s Vineyard on Tuesday, Aug. 19.
Obama’s vacation is scheduled to end Sunday, Aug. 24.
