Miley Cyrus serenaded late-night karaoke lovers at Sing Sing bar in New York causing panic among revellers to afraid to follow in her wake – until Brit Lily Allen stepped forward.
The 21-year-old singer entertained late-night drinkers at Sing Sing bar in New York when she, along with her mother Tish, performed a few songs for a group which included Sky Ferreira, but she put on such a good display that it was hard to find anyone else to take to the stage.
A source said: “No one in the crowd wanted to follow her.”
However, ‘Not Fair’ singer Lily – who is opening for Miley on her ‘Bangerz’ tour – eventually took the mic to perform a few songs too.
Towards the end of Lily’s set, Miley heard her own song ‘Wrecking Ball’ being played in another room – so she went to join the revellers.
The source added to the New York Post newspaper’s Page Six column: “She surprised the group there by jumping onstage.”

The ‘We Can’t Stop’ hitmaker had the tattoo artist etch a crescent moon on her left inner-arm, while she then returned the favour and inked the design onto Bang Bang’s thumb.
And the inking session didn’t end there, as the singer also opted to pay homage to the Flaming Lips by having the words ‘Love Yer Brain’ – the title of a 1987 song by the psychedelic rockers – etched onto her right forearm.
